Located in the medieval layout of the city of Barcelona is this retirement home. It tries to create both a new aesthetic to the place while respecting the long view of narrow streets.

 

The project is divided in two different volumes in the ground floor allowing an interior public path to give continuity to the preexisting street. This provides the interior of the building with the noise of public space that creates a more familiar atmosphere.
